Sikeston - Funeral services for Beatrice Ellen "Bart" Herron of Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston was held Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Burial was in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Mrs. Herron, 1000 years old, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1992, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 1, 1891, in East Prairie, daughter of Chris and Virginia Hancock Cooper, she married Oscar Herron on Oct. 17, 1929, who died Feb. 23, 1973.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of East Prairie.
Survivors include 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
