BLACK, Melita, 75, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 10, 2011. Graveside services will be on Friday, April 15, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. from the Dadevilleity Cemetery, with Rev. Danny Robbins officiating with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.

Melita was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Black Patrick; father, Hurbert Black; stepsister, Marilyn P. Moore.

She is survived by her long time friend, Connie Galvin; brother, Edward D. Black; step-sister, Carol P. Sowell; step brother-in -law, Clayton E. Moore; niece, Denise Day; nephew, Michael Moore; 3 cousins, Billie Nell Sanford, Donald Black, Bettie Moegerle; uncle, Jim Black; numerous extended family including Sally Annette Jones, Missy Powell, Josie Moore and the Elam family, as well as many friends.
