Mrs. Augusta Cole Robinson, 70, Fails to Survive Recent Illness.
Mrs. Augusta Cole Robinson, age 70 years, wife of George Robinson, of Wheeler, died Saturday evening at 8 o'clock in Methodist hospital, Gary, following a several weeks' illness.
The decedent was born on Oct. 27, 1871, at Three Mile Bay, N. Y., and came to Indiana with her parents when she was 10 years of age.
She was united in marriage to George Robinson on Dec. 25, 1889. To this union 13 children were born, six of whom preceded her in death.
Surviving besides the husband are the following children: D. L. G. Robinson, Valparaiso; J. D. Robinson, Valparaiso RFD 4; Mrs. Gertrude Gott, Valparaiso; Mrs. Grace Mahns, Lafayette, Ind.; Mrs. Bonnie Smoot, Charleston, West Virginia; Mrs. Elda Evenson, of Wheeler, and Mrs. Edytha Troxel, Gary. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Rebekah lodge and the Eastern Star chapter of Hobart.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the LePell and Son funeral home on Monroe street. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery.
