Lois Emma Johnson Yates, a native of Centerville, GA, peacefully joined Jesus on January 30, 2002 in San Diego. Lois had lived in San Diego and Riverside, CA since the 1960s. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Centerville Cemetery.
Lois was the daughter of Edgar Morris Johnson and Edna Heard Johnson of Centerville. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Morris Johnson of Kathleen; and Milton Johnson of Centerville; and sisters, Gladys Johnson and Louise Stephenson, also of Centerville.
Her sense of sweetness and fun and her Southern graciousness will be missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 Mulberry Street, Suite 201, Macon, GA 31201.
