Mr. Phillip Calvin Parman, a prominent farmer of the South Side of the River, died at 5:10 yesterday afternoon at his home after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at River Hill, by the Rev. Robert Cutshaw and the Rev. Richardson. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Synthia Bird Parman, an infant daughter, Connie Parman, and a daughter, Fannie B. Parman Ricker.
He survived by his widow, Hester Swaney Parman, one son, W. E. Parman, three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Wallen, Mrs. P.C (Bertie) Collins of Washington Co. Maryland, Miss Dora Parman.
He was a member of the Baptist church at Burnett's Chapel.
