Janet Lorece (White) Kinney of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in her home, at the age of 69 years.

She was born on March 16, 1942, at Knob Lick, MO, daughter of the late Earl E. and Ethel W. (Allen) White.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Kinney; three brothers, Glen Edwin, Charles Lyn, and Lowell White and a sister, Allene (White) Kreiter.

Janet was brought up in the Farmington and Knob Lick area and moved to Illinois where she spent twenty years before moving back to Farmington in 1985.

She was the ultimate homemaker who loved taking care of her family. Reading and crafts were a favorite pastime for Janet.

She always enjoyed living in the countryside and being surrounded by nature.

Janet is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Kinney) Spain and Penelope "Penny" Kinney of the home; two brothers, James White and his wife Linda of Moline, IL and Roger White and his wife Ann of Bettendorf, IA; a sister, Alberta (Mrs. Alan) Naylor of Farmington; three special nephews, Todd Hovis, Dearl Gene Miller, Robert Lee Miller, and a special niece, Katrina Miller; four special grandchildren, Dillon Miller, Julianne Miller, Sidnee Miller, and Robert Miller. Also surviving is a special "sister", Linda (Mrs. Dearl) Miller, and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.

Visitation will resume Friday from 7 a. m. until the beginning of the service at 10 a.m. with Brother Donn Adamson officiating.

Interment will follow at Libertyville Christian Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Missouri School for the Blind.
