Iva Mae Prettyman was the 6th child of Allen and Deliliah Jane Scribner Prettyman. On 13 May 1911 she married Reverend Elliot Harlow Hodge at Breezyhill, Crawford, Kansas. He was a Holiness Evangelist that travelled and preached the Word of God. They finally settled in Independence, Mongomery, Kansas. They in their later years ran the orphanage at Independence, Kansas. Reverend Elliot Hodge wrote a small book of his experiences of his life. Some of his family members have a copy of his book. They had one son Raymond King Hodge who is buried beside them.
