Joseph married Sarah Ann "Sallie" Kennedy prior to 1880. They had these known children: Robert Wiley, b. circa 1879; Rosa Etta Tune, July 1882-March 4, 1884 buried in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Owens, Brown County, Texas; Clarence L. Tune, 1887-1956, buried at Oakwood.
Sarah died sometime after 1887 & Joseph married a second time to Harriet C. Thompson on May 18, 1891 in Eastland County, Texas. They had these known children: daughters Lavada, Mary Luella, Essie Myrtle, Lola, Nellie Mae, Willie Hester, & son J. W.
