Thomas Benton "TB" Barber was born in Clay County, Texas. He move to Goldthwaite in 1936 and worked for Tom Miller Service Station. He died from injuries received while helping to save furniture from the First Baptist Church when it was destroyed by fire. Funeral Service was conducted at the Methodist Church by Rev. Joseph L Emery, the First Baptist Church Pastor. Interment followed in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Business houses of Goldthwaite were closed during the services in his honor.
