Joel Reed, a life-long resident of Sandusky, died early this morning at his home, 309 Meigs St, following a short illness. He was aged 86 years and 24 days.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George Yost, Beloit. Wis.; Mrs. Thurman Doughty, of this city and Mrs. A. J. Andrews. Fla.: a son. Joseph Reed, of this city, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His wife and two daughters preceded him in death.
Mr. Reed was a member of St. Paul's English Lutheran Church .
The body is at the Quick funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday. and where services will be Friday at 2 p.m., the Rev. J.A. Griffith, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
