ACCIDENTAL DEATH.—Mr. C.T. Sanders, of Kirkville, writes as follows "Mr. George Arnold of Richland township, accidentally shot himself this morning, (13th inst). He was a well known and respected citizen, living about six miles south-east of Kirkville. He started from his house about ten o'clock, to go into the field where the boys were gathering corn, and said he believed he would take the gun along. He had proceeded part way across the field, and in crossing a fence by some means the gun-lock came in contact with the fence, and the gun was discharged. The ball entered his side and it is supposed pierced his heart, killing him instantly."
