Virginia Witt, age 92, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas.

Virginia taught for over 22 years at Smith Elementary in S.A.I.S.D. and was known as the "Hat Lady" because she always wore a hat. "Aunt Va" as she was so often called, served as a missionary on Skid Row in Los Angeles CA. and worked in civil service in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was the caretaker of the family and was very close to her two nephews, there were like the sons she never had. Aunt Va had hedgehogs as pets.

She was preceded in death by, parents, Louis Edward Witt and Adelaide W. Witt; brothers, Louis Witt Jr., Neel Witt, Willie Witt and Morris Witt; sisters, Grace Vick and Beth Westerman; niece, Betty Macklin. Virginia is survived by nephews, Gary Vick and wife Sharon, Wayne Vick.

SAN FERNANDO CEMETERY III
