Mrs. Mary Bateman was born November 4, 1858 - died January 25, 1907 at 10 o'clock a.m., aged 49 yrs 2 mos and 21 days. She was a sufferer of bronchial trouble for several years. She was united in marriage to Daniel Bateman March 28th, 1886. She was a member of the Baptist Church at the time of her death. She was a loving wife and a kind mother. A husband, five sons and a daughter mourn her loss.
She was laid to rest in the Iuka Cemetery.
