Mrs Alice Futrell Rahn, 80, died Sunday night at her residence in Springfield after an extended illness. A native of Effingham County, she was the widow of Israel Rahn. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are 4 daughters, Miss Vivian Rahn, Springfield, Mrs E J Lancaster, Port Wentworth; Mrs R S Loper, Springfield; and Mrs Marion N Exley, Clyo; Four sons, William A Rahn, Port Wentworth; I Winton Rahn, Port Wentworth; Linford L Rahn, Charleston, SC and Kenneth W Rahn, Springfield. 33 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. Two brothers, A U Futrell and W B Futrell, both of Savannah. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Oak Grove Church of Christ in Rincon by M K Vaughn
Active pallbearers were grandsons, W A Rahn Jr., E J Lancaster Jr., C E Lancaster, Donald Rahn and Reggie Loper.
Honarary pallbearers were Dr. W R Webb, Dr. Charles T Brown, Frank Lee, Irvin Edwards, Russell Burns, Hartridge Reiser, Ralph K Rahn, Angus Kessler, Harry Kessler, William Steed, J W Exley Sr. and Herman Colson.
Leslie Thompson Funeral Home of Springfield was in charge of arrangements.
