Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Bernice Edenfield Womack, age 90, of Swainsboro, GA on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Emanuel County Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro with Dr. Robert Blankenship officiating and Rev. Bunny Hudson assisting. Mrs. Womack will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8 PM. Pallbearers are Tommy Brannen, Donald Joiner, Jerry Joiner, Hubert Tucker, Tracy Joiner, Kenny Tucker, Rocky Brazzell and Cameron Brazzell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Faithful Workers Tell-Joy Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Womack was born in Statesboro and lived most of her life in Swainsboro. She was a sales clerk with Black's Pharmacy and Mary's Ladies Shop for many years before retiring. Mrs. Womack's other interests included fishing, gardening and Gideon's International. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro and Faithful Workers Tell-Joy Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James O. Edenfield, Brooks Drake, and Darwin Womack; parents, Frank and Susan C. Scott Tucker.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Mitchell (Scott Seydel) of New York, NY; one son, Franklin Edenfield (Dabney) of Swainsboro; one sister, Eloise Brannen (George) of Statesboro; three brothers, James Tucker (Marie) of Port Wentworth, Ted Tucker of San Francisco, CA, and Charles Tucker of Statesboro; six grandchildren, Mark Mitchell, Sloan Knudson (Steele), Taylor Edenfield, Capers Brazzell, Curry Nicolini (Corey), and Cameron Brazzell; four great-grandchildren, Thatcher Knudson, Amelia Knudson, Croix Nicolini, Capers Nicolini.
