Mrs. Ruth Byrd Threat, age 93, of Princeton, Texas, formerly of Forrest City, died Monday at her home in Princeton. She had been in poor health for the past two years.
Mrs. Threat was born January 29, 1918, in Harriman, Tennessee, and was the daughter of Lidge Byrd and Ollie Sexton Byrd. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, a member of The Rebecca Lodge, and had spent most of her life as a Chef.
Mrs. Threat married George A. Threat in 1946, and he preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by two sons; Greg Threat of McKinney, Texas, and Richard Threat of Dallas, Texas, four daughters; Yvonne Anglin of California, Barbara Perry of Nebraska, Joni Wallace and Joyce Nixon, both of Texas, twenty-one grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Threat will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 A.M., Friday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
