Elder Jarvis Bradshaw Harrold, 82, of DAV Road, Hays, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born November 19, 1928 in Wilkes County to Gilmore and Ethel Harrold. He was a member of Beulah Land Baptist Church. He was a Baptist Minister, a charter member of Mtn. View Fire Department and retired from the furniture manufacturing after 44 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roby Harrold and Ralph Harrold.

Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Verlee Spears Harrold of the home; two daughters, Brenda Ratliff and husband Rev. Charles Ratliff of Hays, Joyce Weigand and husband, Naval Chief Petty Officer, Greg Weigand of FL; three sons, Rev. Junior Harrold and wife Sheree, Dennie Harrold all of North Wilkesboro, Bennie Harrold and wife Debbie of Hays; seven sisters, Beulah Taylor, Edith Felts, Ruby Waller and husband Doug all of North Wilkesboro, Della Shumate of Lincolnton, Betty Foster and husband Tommy, Fay Foster and husband Larry, Nancy Greer and husband Stuart all of Hays; five brothers, Edd Harrold of Union Grove, Jerry Harrold, Walter Harrold and wife Alene all of Hays, Wade Harrold and wife Mae, Wayne Harrold and wife Brenda all of Millers Creek; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 2:00 o'clock Thursday at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Taylor, Rev. Robert Wiles and Rev. Charles Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock Wednesday night, and at other times at the home of Bennie and Debbie Harrold.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Beulah Land Baptist Church, Building Fund, 5635 Liberty Grove Church Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.

Pallbearers will be Scott Ratliff, Wesley Harrold, Jeremiah Harrold, Bradley Harrold, Josh Church, Marty Church, and Denny South.
