Bushnell, Howard Aaron

Mr. Howard Aaron Bushnell, age 72 years, died Jan 27.

Funeral services were held at the Needville Funeral Home Jan. 29th at 2 p.m. the Rev. J.R. Vilt conducting the services. The Foerster Funeral Home had charge of the funeral arrangements. Burial took place in the Needville cemetery.

Mr. Bushnell was born on July 4, 1875, in North Bay, New York.

On December 23, 1896 he married Miss Louise Blecha in Colfax, Kansas. Mr. Bushnell came to Texas in 1902 being a resident of Needville since that time. He was engaged in farming. Last October he was in a bad car wreck and spent some weeks at the Fort Bend Hospital in Rosenberg. He never fully recovered. He had a stroke and was brought to the Ft. Bend Hospital were he died Jan. 27th. Two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Teykl and Mrs. Ruth Kuhn preceded him in death.

Mr. Bushnell is survived by his wife Mrs. Louise Bushnell of Needville; six daughters Mrs. W.M. Oliver of Houston; Mrs. Jim Krobot of Rosenberg, Mrs. W.L. Roberts of Rosenberg, Mrs. R.W. Schmidt of Freeport, Mrs. H.L. Austin and Mrs. W.E. Skinner of Houston; Five sons, N.A. Bushnell of Houston, L.A. Bushnell of Beasley, C.M. Bushnell of Needville, H.L. Bushnell and Charles Bushnell of Iota, Louisiana. 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were: Anton Schmidt, August Teykl, Lad Stavinoha, Hans Howe, Louis Teykl, C.G. Stavinoha.

May he rest in peace and the Almighty God comfort our morning friends.
