Phyllis Bosavage, 81, of West Chestnut Street, Frackville, passed away Tuesday evening at home.
Born in Brandonville, Jan. 16, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Vernon Layton.
Phyllis was a homemaker who enjoyed reading cookbooks and was an avid QVC shopper.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Mahanoy City.
She was preceded in death by her children, Leonard, Richard and Robert; grandchildren, Anthony Malacusky Jr., Michael Kowker Jr. and Angel Hannis. She was also preceded in death by her former husbands, Anthony Malacusky and Richard Bosavage.
Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Roseann, wife of John Yunevage, Sheppton, Bonnie, wife of Thomas Hannis, Shenandoah Heights, and Alicia, wife of Michael Kowker, Frackville; two sons, Anthony Malacusky and his wife, Catharine, Cosby, Tenn., and Ronald Malacusky, Mahanoy City; two brothers, Vernon Layton, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Royce Layton, Horseheads, N.Y.; grandchildren, Lori Ann, Darren, John, Brad, Ronald, Jason, Candice, Tonya, Tara, Alexa and Caitlin; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Michael, Kayla, Anthony, Chance, Austin, Dakota, Jacob, John, Zane, McKenzie, Miranda, Desiree, Kelsey, Devon, and awaiting the arrival of a great-granddaughter, Ava, and a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown, with the Rev. Fred Crawford officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Brandonville Union Cemetery.
