It is believed that Martin is buried at Cotton Gin Cemetery. There is a spot without a marker by Mary and Solomon Wills where he could be buried. Or he and his second wife could be buried at Antioch Cemetery, since it was near their home. He was living with Solomon and Mary Wills in the 1880 census.
Martin and Zina packed their covered wagon with their belongings and nine kids and headed toward Texas about 1852. Since some of Martin's relatives had moved to Polk County, Missouri, they stopped there for Zina to give birth to Ziney. Zina must have died giving birth or shortly thereafter because she did not make it to Texas. Martin married Elizabeth (RAE) after the death of Zina.
