Funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2011, at PARKS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL at 1 o'clock. Burial will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME Wednesday evening from 5 - 7 o'clock.
Mrs. Pardee was born July 12, 1940, in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Curtis Henry Fryar and Beaula Elizabeth Hudson Fryar.
Mrs. Pardee was the first recipient of a kidney and liver transplant in South Carolina.
She was a homemaker, a Christian and an active member of Salem Baptist Church where she was a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School class. She was a Past President of the James Island Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and working with her hands.
Survivors include three sons, James C. Pardee of West Columbia, SC, Ronald Pardee, Jr. of Gilbert, SC and Scott A. Pardee of Summerville, SC; one sister, Gertrude Shephard of Summerville, SC; one grandchild, Mariah Elizabeth Pardee of West Columbia, SC.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Pardee, Sr., past chief of the James Island Fire Department.
