Obituary: Hoffman Tribune, September 17, 1970
Mrs. Alma Arnquist Final Rites Friday Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Arnquist, 85, will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, at 2 P.M. from the Lands Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Rev. John Wilenius officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Erickson chapel in Hoffman Thursday afternoon and evening. Mrs. Alma Arnquist, resident of Lands township, Grant county, passed away on Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, at the Hoffman Nursing Home. The daughter of John and Carrie Nelson, she was born on Sept. 29, 1884, in Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to VictorArnquist on Feb. 2, 1909. They moved to Land township in 1913. Mr. Arnquist preceded her in death in 1966. Mrs. Arnquist moved to the Hoffman Nursing Home in 1967. Surviving are one daughter and three sons; Mrs. Clifford (Carmen) Carlson of Elbow Lake, Lester of Dragerton, Utah, Russell of Hoffman, and Willard of Bellvue, Wash.; three grandchildren, and two brothers, Nelbert Nelson and Melvin Nelson, both of New Richmond, Wis. She was buried on 18 Sep 1970 in Lands Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hoffman, Grant Co., Minnesota.
