HUTTON -- Mrs. Laura Daniel, 89, died at her home, 1231 Duane road, at an early hour Sunday morning after a short illness. Mrs. Hutton was born Jan. 20, 1853, in North Carolina. Her parents moved to Texas when she was 2 years of age, where she lived until 1925, when she came to Chattanooga with her daughter, Miss Nina Hutton, a Bible teacher in the public schools. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Nina Hutton; one son, Charles E. Burke, Denton, Tex.; one brother, the Rev. C. W. Daniels, Fort Worth; three living stepchildren, the Rev. S. G. Hutton, Kissimmee, Fla.; C. Marion Hutton, Menton, La., and Mrs. O. H. Brock, Chicago; eight grandchildren, Edmond Burke, Chattanooga; Mrs. H. B. Anderson, Crawford, Tex.; Billy Burke, Denton; Mrs. George Anselm, Brockport, N.Y.; Mrs. John Parke, Chicago; Mrs. Charles Alden, Shreveport, La.; Mrs. Sallye Sentell, Menton, La., and Miss Elizabeth Mosely, Washington, D.C., and the following nieces and nephews: Rollin B. Strayhorn, Dallas; Mrs. A. W. McNeil, Nashville; Mrs. W. E. Hawkins, Dallas; Clyde R. Thomas, Dallas; Mrs. John Ward, Dallas; Mrs. Charles Louck, Dallas, and Charlie Daniels, Houston. A prayer service will be held this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock in Coulter's chapel. The following will participate: Dr. T. E. P. Woods, Dr. Harris H. Gregg and Dr. James L. Fowle and Rev. W. G. Foster, Jr. The body will be sent to Fort Worth at 11:30 p.m., where the funeral will be held Wednesday morning. Interment will be in the Greenwood cemetery of Fort Worth.
