Juanita G. Cisneros, 95, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011, at a local nursing center. A prayer service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Maxim Fernandes officiating. Burial will follow in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cisneros was born February 8, 1916, in Guadalajara, Mexico. She was a resident of Abilene most of her life.
Survivors include a son, Fermin Gonzales Cisneros of Abilene; five daughters, Enriqueta Arriola and Aurora Zuniga, both of Abilene, Rachel Cisneros of Arizona, Natalie Sanchez Menchaca and Mary Acosta, both of Austin; a sister, Georgia Gonzales Lozano of Abilene; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cisneros was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Cisneros.
