Bill (Little Daddy) Upchurch was born June 6, 1937 and departed this life Sunday, April 10, 2011 reaching the age of 73. He was the son of the late Estil and Gertie (Slagle) Upchurch.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Bridgeman and to this union 2 children were born.
He is survived by: his wife, Barbara Upchurch of Monticello, KY; 2 sons, Rusty (Susan) Upchurch and David (Tessa) Upchurch all of Monticello, KY; 3 grandchildren,Chasney (Bobby) Shelton, Dustin (Jessica) Upchurch, and Brook Upchurch all of Monticello, KY; and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 sisters, Gladys (Jim) Linginfelter of Greenville, TN and Stella Abbott of Monticello, KY; several nieces and nephews, along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Estil and Gertie Upchurch, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother, Norman Upchurch; and 1 step grandson, Travis Roberts.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 5 - 9pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 2pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. David Frost officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
