Helen C. Bottcher Reuter Renken, 93, Tecumseh, formerly Syracuse, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Belle Terrace, Tecumseh. She was born March 29, 1913, at Talmage, daughter of John and Sophie (Able) Bottcher. She married Clarence Reuter in 1936 and Edo Renken in 1990.
A housewife and mother, Helen loved flowers, gardening and crocheting.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Kathy Reuter; three grandchildren, Marc Reuter and wife Natasha, and Sarah and Tim Reuter; stepdaughter Mercedes and husband Bill Parsons, Reno, Nev.; sister-in-law Evelyn and husband LeRoy Keim; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded by both husbands; son, Roy; four brothers, Edward, Gilbert, Harold and Leo; two sisters, Edith Naber and Edna Cropp; brothers-in-law Gilbert Naber, Gene Cropp, Ralph Irvin and Elmer Reuter; and three sisters-in-law, Joata, Marjory and Jane Bottcher.
Services were Tuesday, March 27, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Syracuse. The Rev. John Finster officiated. Interment was at Park Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Dennis Keim, John Kopf, Charles Cropp, Bryce Cropp, Marc Reuter and Jerry Pigsley.
Marcia Bartling was organist. There was congregational singing.
Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home, Syracuse, was in charge of arrangements.
