Roy K.Spangler ,70,of Kermit died Wednesday,July 31 at 4 a.m. in Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held Friday,Aug.2,at 10a.m. at Grace Temple Baptist Church with Rev.Dave Mcfadden,pastor,
officiating.Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel.
Born Dec.5,1914,in Ashdown,Ark., he was married to Alma Lorene McKay in Marietta, Okla., on March 5,1935.A retired salesman and a Baptist,Spangler had lived in Kermit 50 years,moving here from Gainesville.
Survivors include his wife of the home;one son,Roy E.Sapngler of Peekskill,N.Y.;three daughters,Mrs.Barbara McDonald of Midland, Mrs. Edna Willmann of Tulsa,Okla.,Mrs Patricia Shifflet of Houston;one sister,Anna Mae Willis of Los Angeles,Calif.,seven grandchildren;and one great-grandchild.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the American Cancer Society.
