Worry Over Son Overseas Caused Her Death
Mrs. George Bond, Suddenly Stricken Friday Night, Passed Away Early Today
Mrs. George Bond, 47, died suddenly at the family home on Lake Street at 2 o'clock this morning of heart trouble and a nervous breakdown. She was stricken Friday night and her death came unexpectedly.
Mrs. Bond was born in Norfolk, July 5, 1871, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Christinat, and was married in Norfolk in July 1893, to George Bond of Winsted. Their son, Elliott, went overseas last July and worry over him is supposed to have caused a nervous breakdown resulting in her death. Besides her husband she leaves two brothers, Jewell and Frank Christinat of Norfolk, and one sister in New Haven.
She was a member of the Pocahontas and held the office of collector of wampum.
The funeral will be held from the home on Lake Street, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock and a Forest View Chapel at 2:30. Rev. R. V. K. Harris officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery.
