Served 3 years in Confederate Army. as a courier under Col. Crews in Wheeler's Cavalry, and followed Sherman through Georgia. Parolled at Greensboro, NC May 4, 1865. Was a leading merchant in Newnan, Ga. He is listed in the Coweta Co. Chronicles. He married Mary Elizabeth Gibson on 25 Jan 1872. He was the son of Love Glass and Lydia May.
