Had the distinction of being deposed by Abraham Lincoln, early in Mr. Lincoln's legal career, in a land sale dispute for property being sold by him in Cass County, IL. The case was dismissed due to lack of evidence of any misrepresentation and the property sale was upheld.

Isham Reavis was as well was documented as having been commissioned for early road system planning in central IL.

Mahala (Beck) Reavis who was born in 1799 in Culpepper County VA; married January 23, 1818 in Bond County, IL; died April 23, 1855 in Cass Co., IL.
