Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Mae Nichols, 81, of Clayton, were conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, in Young's Funeral Home Chapel at Ferriday, with the Rev. Grant McVay officiating.
Burial was in Holly Grove Cemetery at Wisner, La., for Mrs. Nichols, who died Friday, Feb. 6, in Concordia Parish Hospital at Ferriday, after a long illness. A member of the Faith Baptist Church, Mrs. Nichols has been a resident of Clayton for 25 years.
Survivors include one son, R. T. Nichols of Clayton; two daughters, Mrs. Eudora Bruce of Newelton, and Mrs. Irma Pittman of Monroe; one brother, Everett Gaddis of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Mrs. Ada Middleton of Pleasant Hill; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
