Died Saturday morning, March 5th,1910,At his home near Middlefield occurred the death of Jay H Tyler aged, twenty Seven years, six months and twenty nine days ,after an illness of nine days
with pneumonia followed by cerebrospinal meningitis. All that . Loving hands could do was of no avail for the .brittle thread of life was broken and his .spirit returned to the God who gave it.
In January, 1906, the deceased was United in marriage with Eliza Fort of Middlefield. There came to bless their union two children, Claude aged three years, and an infant daughter three
months old who are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and a loving father.
Besides HIS wife Eliza (Fort)and two children he
leaves an aged father and mother, Mr.and Mrs. Menzo Tyler and two brothers,F. Grant and John K., all of Westford. also a large circle of relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held, Monday at 2 p.m. in .the Methodist church at Westford of which he had long been a member.
The services were conducted by the Rev. W, Horton of Middlefield assisted by the C. M. Adams of Westford and the body laid at rest
the: family plot in the Westford Cemetery.
