Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Carol Thornton, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9 at Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa.
The active pallbearers were Col. A. W. Woolfrey Jr., Cynthia W. Shipp, A. W. Woolfrey III, Tyler Gilchrist, Tyler Shipp and Rucker Shipp. Honorary pallbearers were relatives and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Phil Woolfrey and his wife, Marian, of Mineral, and Wade Woolfrey and his wife, Betty, of Churchville; a grandson, Col. A. W. Woolfrey Jr. and his wife, Karoline, of Lorton; a granddaughter, Cynthia W. Shipp and her husband, Andrew, of Bedford; one great-granddaughter; four great-grandsons; and her pet cat, Polly.
Mrs. Woolfrey was born March 27, 1910 in Mineral, the daughter of the late Arthur David and Hattie Lee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennie B. Woolfrey; and three sisters, Zora Green, Ruth Groome and Edna Terrell.
