William R. Boehnke, the son of Julius Gustav Herman and Alertina Alvina, (Woiwood) Boehnke, was born on January 13, 1889. He was baptized, confirmed and educted St.John's Lutheran Church and School.
William married Martha Elizabeth Jass and they farmed for many years until they moved to Garner. He served on the Hancock County National Bank Board of Directors and was an ever faithful steward to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
William passed away on March 19, 1969. Services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Chuch and burial at Concord Cemtery.
