CHRISTENING:St.Johns Luth Church. His sponsors were Gus Unke, brother of his mother, & Ernestine Brustman, wife of his uncle Gus Brustman.

CONFIRMATION: Remembrance of Day of Confirmation paper from St. Johns Luth Church in Montello gives date of 24th of March, 1918. Rev. Oswald Theobold was pastor. The Remembrance paper is written in German just as all the catechism instruction for Walter and his siblings was in German language.

OCCUPATION: Employed by Wolf, Kubly and Hirsig of Madison, WI.

MARRIAGE: Marriage License; 1925; Register of Deeds, Oshkosh, WI Lic 267; Vol 28; Pg 267. Note: Ceremony took place at St Johns Rectory with Rev W.P. Mortell officiating. Witnesses were Victor M. Leib,cousin of bride, and Edith Steinhilber, friend and neighbor of bride.

ACTIVITIES: He was very active in his church, Zion Lutheran. He was an usher, active on the organ fund committee and a member of the church council for six years.

DEATH: Walter died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the age of 47. Services were at Zion Lutheran Church and burial was in Forest Hills cemetery.
