L.C. Coker, 84, died Friday, April 8, 2011, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Golden.

He was Born in Itawamba County to Homer and Luna Castleberry Coker.

He Retired from Blue Bell Inc. and Tishomingo County School System, where he was Employed as a Truck Driver for 35 years and as a Bus Driver at Belmont High School.
He Loved driving the School Children on his Route and on Class Trips.
He especially Loved taking the Girls' Basketball Team to the State Tournaments.

He was a Member of New Bethel Baptist Chur; and a Mason of Bay Springs Lodge 167.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a Wonderful Christian Husband, Dad and Pop-Paw.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Bethel Baptist Church in Belmont with Bro. William McClellan, Bro. Brian Weems and Bro. James Segars Officiating.
A Masonic Graveside Service will follow at New Bethel Cemetery.
Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his Wife of 63 years, Julia Moody Coker of Belmont, whom he Married on December 24, 1947; two Daughters, Brenda Daniel and Husband, Terry, of Red Bay, AL; and Anita Childers and Husband, Keith, of Florence, AL; three Brothers, Hubert Coker and Wife, Carol; Dwayne Coker and Wife, Virginia; and Don Coker and Wife, Arweeda; four Sisters, Billie Kaye; Betty Thornton; Rubene Spencer; and Clara Brown and Husband, Owen; five Grandchildren, Barry Daniel and Wife, Niki; Amanda Ridge and Husband, Josh; Brad Childers; Kirk Childers and Katy Childers; and four Great Grandsons, Carson and Carter Daniel, Kaleb Christman and Dalton Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and two Brothers, Charlie Coker and Wayne Coker.

Pallbearers will be Terry Daniel, Barry Daniel, Keith Childers, Brad Childers, Kirk Childers and Josh Ridge.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at New Bethel Baptist Church and until Service time on Sunday.
