Resident of Estherville for Fourteen Years
Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Johnson, 69, who died Thursday [July 26, 1934], were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Christian church. The Rev. M. A. Lowe officiated at the services. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson [Edith M. Anderson] died early Thursday morning at her home on the West side after an illness of nearly a year. She was born in Sweden but came to the United States when she was three years old. She lived in Illinois a few years with her parents, later going to Boone, and then to Dunnell. She lived on a farm one mile west of Dunnell for 35 years and then moved to Estherville. Mrs. Johnson and her husband have lived in Estherville for the past 14 years.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Clarence of Fort Dodge, two daughters Mrs. H. C. Munson of Sherburn, Minn., and Mrs. Gertrude Barlow of Huntington, several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, July 31, 1934)
