John M. Greer, 71 years old, died at his home at Zionville on September 1, following a long period of declining health.
Funeral services were conducted from the Zionville Baptist Church by Reverend R. C. Eggers and interment was in the Reece Cemetery.
Survivors include three brothers and three sisters: Ben C. Greer, West Faire, Oregon; Charles A. Greer, Zionville; Monroe Greer, West Faire, Oregon; Mrs. Sallie Roten, Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Ettie Allen, Lenoir and Mrs. A. J. Swift, Elizabethton, Tennessee.
