Tommy Allen
Tommy Allen, age 84, of Whitney, died Thursday, March 2, 1989 in Town Hall Nursing Home. Services were held March 4, 1989, at 10:00 a.m. at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney. Reverend Dean Evans officiated. Burial was in Heath Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born January 15, 1905 in Alabama. He moved to Texas with his parents the age of 7. He was the son of Charles and Cynthia Ann Payne Allen. He married Laura Mae Pelham in June 1977. He was retired from the lumber business. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul W. Allen, in May 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Laguna Park.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Mae Allen of Whitney; a daughter-in-law, Louise Allen of Maybank; a brother, R.J. Allen of Red Oak; one sister, Clara B. Norris of Sweetwater, two granddaughters, of Tucson, Arizona; and one great grandson of Tucson, Arizona.
