Miss Smith, a Charlotte native, was a homemaker and had attended Mecklenburg County schools. She was a member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors are her daughter, Miss Ollie Mae Smith; sisters, Miss Cynthia Smith, Mrs. Ida Lee Pettice; stepbrother, West Adams; stepsister, Mrs. Emma Ervin of Belmont; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
