Born Dec. 25, 1918, at Mount Pleasant, Utah, to Don and Grace Blackwell, Alma moved to Carey, Idaho, at the age of 2, where she grew up and was educated through the Carey School system. She married Joe Rush on June 7, 1940. They had four children together, Don, David, Dennis and Doris.
Alma was a member of the LDS Church, president of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Progressive Club and the Friendly Neighbor Club.
She is survived by sons, David Rush and Dennis Rush; daughter Doris Taylor; and sister; Mary Hunt.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rush; son, Don Rush; sister, Dorothy Blackwell; and her parents J.D. and Grace Blackwell.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Carey LDS Church.
