Our mother Lazon Rich Allen, age 77, of Vernal, passed away on April 5, 2011.
Born June 17, 1933 in Price to Jeremiah and Wanda LaMar Alexander Rich. Married Norman Van Massey on April 2, 1950; later divorced. Married Leo Robert Allen on February 9, 1974, solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 5, 1995.
Survived by her daughters, Vickie Mae (Scott) Hagman, Roosevelt; Vannette (Glen) Ross, Arcadia; Mary Jane (Max) Taylor, Bountiful; sons, Robert Orval (Laurie) Allen, Murray; Michael Leo Allen, Bountiful; two daughters-in-law, Rose Massey, Las Vegas; Yvonne Coreless, Vernal; two sisters, Geradine (Macks) Murray, Roosevelt; Delone (Vernon) Davis, Wellington; two brothers, Robert A. Rich, LaPoint; Lawrence D. Rich, Roosevelt; twenty-seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren with three on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Robert Allen; three sons, Joshua Allen Massey, Norman Reed Massey, Jerry Lane Massey; two grandsons, Jeremiah Reed Massey and Robert Brandon Allen; one brother, Charles Coulson Rich; and a sister, Charlotte Carol Rich.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011 in the Roosevelt Second Ward Chapel, 250 West 300 North. A viewing will be held on Sunday at Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and from 9:00-9:45 a.m. on Monday at the Church.
Burial will be in the Memorial Estates Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, at 3:00 p.m.
