Death of Cary A. Bettilyon
Cary A. Bettilyon, an aged man who has made his home at Nimrod during the past years, died last Friday, December 9th, at two o'clock P.M., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M.D. Tomlinson, who kindly administered to him during his last days of illness. Deceased was known to all his friends in this part of the county as the "clam hunter," for during the past several years he used to ship carloads of clam shells from the Crow Wing River and Twin Lakes and was successful in finding many valuable pearls. The past few years found him gradually failing in health and he retired to a quiet life at Nimrod where he was highly respected by those who came to know him.
Funeral services were held at Nimrod Sunday afternoon and, in accordance with his request, he was buried in the cemetery at Nimrod.
