About Arnold, Sherry
CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- Sherry (Arnold) Moffitt 65, wife of Harold Moffitt, widow of the late George D. Colegrove Sr. and a resident of Fish Hatchery Road, died early Friday morning, Nov. 18, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Hoosick Falls on Dec. 20, 1939, the daughter of the late Charles William and Alma Mary (Wood) Arnold and received her education in the Walloomsac and Hoosick Falls school region. Mr. and Mrs. Colegrove were married on June 28, 1958 in Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. Mr. Colegrove died Aug. 19, 1984. Mr. and Mrs. Moffitt married on May 20, 1990.

Sherry worked throughout Bennington, Vt., as a seamstress and was most recently employed at Nastech.

She was a devoted mother and enjoyed camping, board games, puzzles, gardening, flowers and birds. She was also well-known for her great sense of humor and outgoing personality.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; four children, George Colegrove and his wife Teresa of Bristol, Conn., Kim Hansen and her husband Peter of Cambridge, Jeff Colegrove and his wife Connie of Cambridge and Todd Colegrove and his wife Marci of Buskirk; a step-daughter, Jennifer Moffitt of Bennington; four sisters, Mildred Buck of North Bennington, Barbara Beagle of Bennington, Charlene Hughes of Witwell, Tenn., and Linda Hall of West Cliff, Colo.; two brothers, Leeward Arnold of Walloomsac and John Arnold of Delanson; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Jay Arnold; and four sisters, Mary Carey, Gail Mordsfeld, Geraldine Arnold and Rosemary Arnold. Graveside funeral services for Sherry will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005. at 11 a.m. in the family lot in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. There are no visiting hours.
