Ida was the daughter of Rueben Hughes. She married Coral C. Pearson in Newtonia on January 22, 1893. They had three sons: Richard, Leo, & Hugh.

Ida, a widow, had been in the Carter Rest Home in Granby two years when she died at 5:45 a.m. from a heart related condition. She was 90 years old. Her son, Richard of Kansas City, was the informant on her death certificate. She was buried on Sept. 6.

Neosho, Mo. - Mrs. Ida Hughes Pearson, 91 years old, a resident of the Neosho area most of her life, died Saturday afternoon in a Granby rest home.

Mrs. Pearson had been active in work at First Baptist church of Neosho and directed the Sunbeams, a youth organization in the church.

Surviving are tow sons, Leo and Richard of Kansas City; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four nieces.

Services will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in First Baptist church at Neosho. The Rev. J. Merle Bandy will officiate. Burial will be in Newtonia I.O.O.F. cemetery, under direction of Clark funeral home."
