SPRINGFIELD - Ernest E. Boaen Jr., 65, died Wednesday at Effingham Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Effingham County and was a truck driver and a member of O.O.I.D.A., Pine Street Baptist Church and the Georgia Sheriffs Association. Surviving are his wife, LuWeta Lowe Boaen of Springfield; a daughter, Eugenia N. Crosby of Tiliman, S.C.; an adopted daughter, Barbara G; Strickland of Springfield; his mother, Eunice Lindsey Boaen of Springfield; a sister, Dora B. Reiser of Springfield; and a grandson. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home, Springfield chapel, burial in Effingham Memorial Gardens. Remembrances: Georgia Baptist Children's Home, 9420 Blackshear Highway, Baxley, Ga. 31315
