Felix W. Franklin, well known area farmer, passed way at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at the Baylor County Hospital in Seymour. Mr. Franklin had been in poor health for some time, suffering from lung cancer, but was hospitalized only one day.

He was born on February 8, 1882 in Hico and came to Goree in 1936. He had farmed in the Goree area since that time. He was married to Mary Wallace on July 19, 1903. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ in Munday at 3 p.m. Saturday, with Minister J. W. Bedingfield of Olney Officiating.

Burial was in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Paul Pendleton, A.L. (Cotton) Smith, John McMahon, Clyde Rodgers, D.P. Dixon and Buster Coffman.

Surving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Louvella Wade and Mrs Virginia Carey, both of Goree, and Mrs Inez Usrey of Delpas Heights, Calif;
two sons, Jack of Littlefield and Raymond of Modessa, Calif; four brothers, Clint of Rhineland, Annis of Haggermann, N.M., William of Holiday and Charlie of Paradise Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. A. L. Solsbery of Flora Vista, N.M., and Mrs Howard White of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
