Cola was born November 21, 1943, in Baker. She was a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County, and loved the outdoors and the beauty of nature. She attended New Beginnings Church in Crestview.
Cola was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Cennie Ganey, and a brother, Harold Ganey.
She is survived by her husband , Rhett Griffith, of Baker; her daughter, Mary Ellen King, of Fort Walton Beach; a grandson, Michael Franco, of Milton; and a sister, Ola Bell Leake, of Crestview.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at the chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
Funeral services will take place at 10 AM Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Raymond Williams officiating. Burial will be in New Bethany Cemetery in Baker.
