Edna Elizabeth Henderson Anderson, 94, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park beside her first husband. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel.

Edna was born in Rosenthal, Texas, to the late Rufus and Amanda Evans. She retired from McLennan County Library, and she planned, brought about, and drove the first library bookmobile, planned and established branch libraries, wrote three novels, published poetry, wrote songs and played the violin and guitar.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe L. Henderson, and father of their children; second husband, Burton Anderson; a granddaughter, Gabby; brother, Jim; and sister, Defasy.

Survivors include her sons, Joe L. Henderson and wife, Dorinda, David Henderson and wife, Josfine, and Paul Henderson and wife, Diane; grandchildren: Steve, Angela, Clay, Scott and wife, Leslie, Jason and wife, Jennifer, and Stephanie and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren: Brandon Zarecor and wife, Lauren, Heath and wife, Kayla, Crystal, Seth, Jesse, Tyler and Tyler; great-great-grandchildren, Gabby Lou and Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.
