Anna Lee Farrow, age 23 married John Jamison Major, age 21 (actual age was 20 at the time of marriage) both of Independence, Jackson County, Missouri on November 18, 1907 in Jackson County, MO.

Anna was the daughter of Seth and Mary Scott Farrow. She was a lifelong member of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints church.

Anna passed away 01 Aug 1950. Services were held Thursday, August 3rd, at the Stahl chapel in Independence. Anna was survived by her husband, John J. Major; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Lee Piper of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Luff of Independence; and two grandchildren, Jona Lee Piper and Lew Edward Piper of Pine Bluff.

The Majors lived across the street from President Truman's Summer White House. Mrs. Majors was known for providing the newsmen cold drinks and hot coffee and she opened their home to the newsmen to freshen up. In 1949, the newsmen presented Mrs. Majors with a centerpiece for her dining room table.
